The C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting South Johnston Trojans to 48 in the Golden Falcons league victory on Tuesday.
The Golden Falcons now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fike for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. C.B. Aycock will meet a Demons team coming off a 51-44 non-league win over Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Demons record now stands at 3-5.
With the defeat, South Johnston moves to 5-4 on the year. The Trojans travel to Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to meet the Saints in a non-league match on Thursday, January 5. The Saints enter the match with a record of 5-3. Southern Wayne lost 49-40 in their recent non-league match against Hunt (Wilson, NC)
