The Gray's Creek Bears basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Douglas Byrd Eagles to 36 in the Bears non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bears now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lumberton for a contest on Friday, January 6. Gray's Creek will meet a Pirates team coming off a 44-34 non-league loss to Fairmont (Fairmont, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 2-4.
The Eagles (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Colts enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Cape Fear was outscored by Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC), 77-50, in a non-league contest.
