Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), 59-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eastern Randolph upgrades its record to 1-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC) to play the Jets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Jets go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Jordan-Matthews won 40-29 in their recent non-league bout against Graham (Graham, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Southwestern Randolph will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 61-38 non-league loss to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC).
