The Washburn Rural Blues basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Junction City Bluejays to 47 in the Blues league triumph on Tuesday.
The Blues now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hayden for a contest on Friday, January 6. Washburn Rural will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 68-45 non-league loss to Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.
The Bluejays (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Manhattan (Manhattan, KS). The Indians enter the contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Manhattan ran past Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS), 60-56, in a non-league contest.
