Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Yosemite Badgers (Oakhurst, CA), 34-21 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Liberty improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Hawks host Coalinga (Coalinga, CA) to confront the Horned Toads in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Horned Toads come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Badgers confront the Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 6. Yosemite will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 52-48 league win over Minarets (O'Neals, CA).
