In Wednesday's league outing, the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC), by a count of 69-49.
The Gryphons (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams go into the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont outing with a 3-9 record. In their last outing, Highland Tech was topped by Burns (Lawndale, NC), 63-47, in a league outing.
