Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR), 60-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Burns upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Hilanders travel to Baker (Baker City, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 13-0.

Next up, the Prospectors play the Enterprise Outlaws (Enterprise, OR) in a 2A Blue Mountain bout, on Friday, January 5. Grant Union will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Outlaws come into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 70-41 non-league win over Prairie City (Prairie City, OR).
