Robertsdale Golden Bears (Robertsdale, AL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Chickasaw Chieftains (Chickasaw, AL), 55-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Robertsdale upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Golden Bears host McGill-Toolen (Mobile, AL) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a 6A Area 2 bout on Friday, January 5. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 13-5. McGill-Toolen won 45-44 in their recent non-league bout against Spanish Fort (Spanish Fort, AL)

Next up, the Chieftains clash with the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats (Mobile, AL) in a 2A Area 1 bout, on Friday, January 5. Chickasaw will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 77-63 league loss to Clarke County (Grove Hill, AL).
