North Carolina High School Basketball - Cristo Rey Research Triangle trounced by St. Thomas More Academy

The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors routed the visiting Cristo Rey Research Triangle Bulls basketball team by a final score of 64-39 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Chancellors face the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion (Durham, NC) in a NCISAA Raleigh Area game, on Friday, January 5. St. Thomas More Academy will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Lion enter the game with a 5-6 record after their 85-23 non-league win over Carolina Friends (Durham, NC).

With the defeat, Cristo Rey Research Triangle moves to 4-2 on the year. The Bulls travel to Neuse Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC) to face the Lions in a non-league game on Friday, January 5. The Lions enter the game with a record of 1-8. Neuse Christian Academy lost 63-32 in their recent league game against Thales Academy Rolesville (Rolesville, NC)
