Delhi Hawks (Delhi, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, CA), 43-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Delhi upgrades its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Mariposa County (Mariposa, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a Southern League bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Mariposa County won 54-35 in their recent league bout against Gustine (Gustine, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Orestimba Warriors (Newman, CA) in a Southern League bout, on Friday, January 5. Waterford will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 12-2 record after their 82-35 league win over Denair (Denair, CA).
