The Dunellen Destroyers basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Highland Park Owls to 45 in the Destroyers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Destroyers now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perth Amboy Vo-Tech for a Greater Middlesex - Gold contest on Friday, January 5. Dunellen will meet a Patriots team coming off a 48-36 league win over Piscataway Vo-Tech (Piscataway, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 4-4.

The Owls (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against South Amboy (South Amboy, NJ). The Governors enter the Greater Middlesex - Gold contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, South Amboy was nudged by Calvary Christian (Old Bridge, NJ), 68-49, in a league contest.
