Ohio High School Basketball - Kirtland can't hold off Geneva

The Geneva Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Kirtland Hornets to 51 in the Eagles non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Conneaut for a Chagrin Valley - Lake contest on Saturday, January 6. Geneva will battle a Spartans team coming off a 93-66 non-league loss to Harding (Fairport Harbor, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 3-5.
The Hornets (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Crestwood (Mantua, OH). The Red Devils come into the Chagrin Valley - Valley contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, Crestwood was nudged by LaBrae (Leavittsburg, OH), 68-58, in a non-league contest.
