South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR), 58-32 in a league bout.

With the win, South Umpqua upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Lancers travel to Coquille (Coquille, OR) to clash with the Red Devils in a 3A Far West bout on Friday, January 5. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Coquille won 49-37 in their recent league bout against Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR) in a 3A Far West bout, on Friday, January 5. Glide will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 54-49 non-league win over North Bend (North Bend, OR).
