Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the St. Thomas Academy Cadets (Mendota Heights, MN) and the visiting Hill-Murray Pioneers (Maplewood, MN), saw St. Thomas Academy's basketball squad overcome Hill-Murray by a tally of 65-54.

With the victory, St. Thomas Academy improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to Hastings (Hastings, MN) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Hastings won 73-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Simley (Inver Grove Heights, MN)

Next up, the Pioneers confront the Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN) in a AAA Section 4 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Hill-Murray will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Zephyrs come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 64-45 non-league loss to Tartan (Oakdale, MN).
