Manalapan Braves (Englishtown, NJ) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Jackson Memorial Jaguars (Jackson Township, NJ), 62-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Manalapan upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Braves host Middletown North (Middletown, NJ) to play the Lions in a Shore A - North bout on Friday, January 5. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Middletown North won 59-56 in their recent non-league bout against Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Pinelands Regional Wildcats (Tuckerton, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Jackson Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
