The Kempsville Chiefs basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints to 40 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Chiefs now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salem for a Beach contest on Friday, January 5. Kempsville will meet a Sundevils team coming off a 67-61 non-league loss to Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Sundevils record now stands at 5-3.

The Saints (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin (Franklin, VA). The Broncos enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Franklin was routed by Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA), 79-77, in a league contest.
