The Mount Vernon Majors basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Lewis Lancers to 35 in the Majors league triumph on Wednesday.

The Majors now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edison for a District 3 contest on Friday, January 5. Mount Vernon will battle a Eagles team coming off a 67-37 league win over Falls Church (Falls Church, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-3.

The Lancers (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Annandale (Annandale, VA). The Atoms enter the District 3 contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Annandale triumphed over Justice (Falls Church, VA), 67-33, in a league contest.
