Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) and the visiting Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), witnessed Monticello's basketball squad beat Louisa County by a margin of 67-55.

The Mustangs (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors go into the Jefferson outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Western Albemarle thwarted Orange County (Orange, VA), 54-39, in a league outing.

The Lions now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Goochland for a Jefferson outing on Friday, January 5. Louisa County will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 82-49 league loss to Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-6.
