The Millennium Lions basketball team (Mount Airy, NC), was overwhelmed 81-38 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals (Greensboro, NC)

The Bengals now possess a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Leadership Academy for a 1A Northwest Piedmont battle on Thursday, January 4. Triad Math and Science Academy will battle a Falcons team coming off a 66-19 league win over Bethany (Summerfield, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 6-5.

The Lions (1-9) will now prepare for their battle against Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC). The Cardinals come into the 1A Northwest Piedmont battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Cornerstone Charter was overwhelmed by Carver (Winston-Salem, NC), 67-59, in a league battle.
