Monroe County Tigers (Monroeville, AL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wilcox Central Jaguars (Camden, AL), 59-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe County upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Tigers host Clarke County (Grove Hill, AL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-9.

Next up, the Jaguars clash with the Southside Panthers (Selma, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Wilcox Central will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 74-49 non-league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, AL).
