Morristown Colonials (Morristown, NJ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ), 48-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Morristown upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Colonials host Chatham (Chatham, NJ) to play the Cougars in a Northwest Jersey - American bout on Friday, January 5. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Chatham lost 75-55 in their recent non-league bout against Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ)

Next up, the Spartans play the Delbarton Green Wave (Morristown, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Sparta will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Green Wave come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 56-53 league win over Randolph (Randolph, NJ).
