Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA), 66-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Blackhawk upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA) to clash with the Vikings in a WPIAL 4A 2 bout on Thursday, January 4. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Hopewell lost 49-42 in their recent non-league bout against Grove City (Grove City, PA)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Ambridge Bridgers (Ambridge, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 2 bout, on Thursday, January 4. Central Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Bridgers go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 63-37 league loss to Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA).
