North Carolina High School Basketball - Highland Tech trounced by Burns

The Burns Bulldogs routed the visiting Highland Tech Rams basketball team by a final score of 50-20 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont game, on Friday, January 5. Burns will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Ironmen enter the game with a 4-7 record after their 73-19 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC).

With the defeat, Highland Tech moves to 9-2 on the year. The Rams host Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC) to face the Gryphons in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont game on Friday, January 5.
