The Rice Memorial Green Knights basketball team (South Burlington, VT), was overwhelmed 49-27 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Burr & Burton Bulldogs (Manchester, VT)
The Bulldogs now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Champlain Valley Union for a Metro contest on Saturday, January 6. Burr & Burton will battle a Redhawks team coming off a 58-47 league win over St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT). The Redhawks record now stands at 4-0.
The Green Knights (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Saranac (Saranac, NY). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Saranac triumphed over Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY), 48-18, in a league contest.
