Mountain View Eagles (Kingsley, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Elk Lake Warriors (Dimock, PA), 52-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Mountain View upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Eagles host Blue Ridge (New Milford, PA) to play the Raiders in a Lackawanna 4 bout on Saturday, January 6. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Blue Ridge lost 41-30 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Old Forge Blue Devils (Old Forge, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Elk Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 41-40 league win over Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA).
