In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Maryknoll Spartans (Honolulu, HI) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hanalani Royals (Mililani, HI), by a count of 47-19.

The Spartans (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against Mid-Pacific Institute (Honolulu, HI). The Owls go into the Interscholastic League [ILH] I outing with a 4-5 record. In their last outing, Mid-Pacific Institute smashed Hawaii Baptist Academy (Honolulu, HI), 41-39, in a non-league outing.

The Royals now hold a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Damien for a non-league game on Friday, January 5. Hanalani will face a Monarchs team coming off a 36-30 non-league win over Sacred Hearts Academy (Honolulu, HI). The Monarchs record now stands at 5-2.
