The Making Waves Academy Marlins (Richmond, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Holy Names Monarchs (Oakland, CA), 41-21 in Wednesday's league test.

The Marlins (6-5) will now prepare for their test against California School for the Deaf (Fremont, CA). The Eagles go into the Bay Counties - General test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, California School for the Deaf notched a victory over Jewish Community (San Francisco, CA), 42-23, in a non-league test.

The Monarchs now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cristo Rey De La Salle for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 10. Holy Names will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 48-22 non-league loss to California Crosspoint (Hayward, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-4.
