Georgia High School Basketball - Macon County nips Schley County

Macon County Bulldogs (Montezuma, GA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Schley County Wildcats (Ellaville, GA), 42-36 in a league battle.

The Bulldogs now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marion County for a A D2 Region 6 battle on Friday, January 5. Macon County will confront a Eagles team coming off a 51-46 league win over Greenville (Greenville, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.

The Wildcats (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Taylor County (Butler, GA). The Vikings come into the A D2 Region 6 battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Taylor County was nudged by Manchester (Manchester, GA), 53-48, in a league battle.
