With the victory, Moss Point upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. St. Martin won 59-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Fairhope (Fairhope, AL)

Next up, the Hornets play the Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS) in a 4A Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Poplarville will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 41-17 league loss to Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS).
