Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks (Mt. Pleasant, SC) and the visiting Waccamaw Warriors (Pawley's Island, SC), saw Oceanside Collegiate Academy's basketball squad hold off Waccamaw by a count of 43-40.

With the victory, Oceanside Collegiate Academy upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Landsharks host Academic Magnet (North Charleston, SC) to play the Raptors in a AA Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Raptors come into the challenge with a record of 4-10.

Next up, the Warriors play the Andrews Yellowjackets (Andrews, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Waccamaw will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 47-28 non-league loss to Aynor (Aynor, SC).
