Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Providence Pioneers (Burbank, CA) and the host Westridge Tigers (Pasadena, CA), saw Providence's basketball squad wallop Westridge by a tally of 73-20.

With the victory, Providence improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Rio Hondo Prep (Arcadia, CA) to confront the Kares in a Prep challenge on Friday, January 5. The Kares come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Rio Hondo Prep won 46-27 in their recent non-league challenge against West Covina (West Covina, CA)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Chadwick Dolphins (Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA) in a Prep challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Westridge will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Dolphins come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 34-28 non-league win over Blair (Pasadena, CA).
