Tidehaven Tigers (El Maton, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Rice Consolidated Raiders (Altair, TX), 39-16 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tidehaven upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The Tigers host Yoakum (Yoakum, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Yoakum lost 43-25 in their recent league bout against Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX)

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Palacios Sharks (Palacios, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, January 5. Rice Consolidated will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Sharks go into the bout with a 16-7 record after their 54-14 non-league win over Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX).
