Veterans Warhawks (Kathleen, GA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Warner Robins Demons (Warner Robins, GA), 62-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Veterans upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Warhawks travel to Tift County (Tifton, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a AAAAAA Region 1 bout on Friday, January 5. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 9-3. Tift County won 54-39 in their recent non-league test against Coffee (Douglas, GA)

The Demons now own a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Ola for a AAAAA Region 2 test on Friday, January 5. Warner Robins will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 47-37 non-league win over Westside (Macon, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-9.
