The Elma Eagles basketball team scored 36 points and held the visiting Hoquiam Grizzlies to 35 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Napavine for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Elma will meet a Tigers team coming off a 67-10 non-league win over Morton/White Pass (Morton, WA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.
The Grizzlies (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Tenino (Tenino, WA). The Beavers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Tenino was nudged by Montesano (Montesano, WA), 38-20, in a non-league contest.
