Lakeside Lions (Seattle, WA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Seattle Prep Panthers (Seattle, WA), 51-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lakeside upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Roosevelt (Seattle, WA) to play the Roughriders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Roughriders go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Roosevelt won 41-34 in their recent non-league bout against Holy Names Academy (Seattle, WA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Lake Washington Kangaroos (Kirkland, WA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Seattle Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Kangaroos go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 50-46 non-league win over Liberty (Issaquah, WA).
