The Louisa County Lions basketball team (Mineral, VA), was overwhelmed 35-8 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA)
The Mustangs now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Western Albemarle for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 4. Monticello will battle a Warriors team coming off a 28-16 non-league win over Orange County (Orange, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-0.
The Lions (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Goochland was overwhelmed by Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA), 56-8, in a non-league battle.
