South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC), 30-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Iredell upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Vikings host Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to clash with the Ragin' Bulls in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Ragin' Bulls go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. West Cabarrus will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 47-13 non-league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC).
