The Martinsville Bulldogs basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Bassett Bengals to 35 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Halifax County for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5.

The Bengals (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Tunstall nudged Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA), 50-42, in a non-league contest.
