Center Cougars (Antelope, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA), 79-70 in a league bout.

With the win, Center upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Cougars host Marysville (Marysville, CA) to play the Indians in a bout on Friday, January 5. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Marysville lost 55-53 in their recent league bout against Sutter (Sutter, CA)

Next up, the Bruins play the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos (Lincoln, CA) in a bout, on Friday, January 5. Bear River will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Raging Rhinos go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 53-35 league win over Lindhurst (Olivehurst, CA).
