Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lovejoy Wildcats (Lovejoy, GA), 57-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Zion upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Hapeville Charter (Atlanta, GA) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Hapeville Charter won 44-37 in their recent non-league bout against Warren County (Warrenton, GA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA) in a bout, on Thursday, January 4. Lovejoy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 51-29 league win over Forest Park (Forest Park, GA).
