Virginia High School Basketball - Strasburg can't hold off Madison County

The Madison County Mountaineers basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Strasburg Rams to 40 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Mountaineers now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain View for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Madison County will battle a Generals team coming off a 56-36 non-league loss to Luray (Luray, VA). The Generals record now stands at 0-11.
The Rams (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Rappahannock County (Washington, VA). The enter the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Rappahannock County was edged by Clarke County (Berryville, VA), 30-21, in a non-league bout.
