The Maria Carrillo Pumas basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Montgomery Vikings to 31 in the Pumas league victory on Wednesday.

The Pumas now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piner for a contest on Tuesday, January 9. Maria Carrillo will battle a Prospectors team coming off a 70-47 non-league loss to Sonoma Valley (Sonoma, CA). The Prospectors record now stands at 5-8.

The Vikings (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, CA). The Panthers come into the contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Santa Rosa triumphed over Windsor (Windsor, CA), 54-46, in a league contest.
