With the victory, Western Albemarle upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Monticello (Charlottesville, VA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Monticello lost 55-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Louisa County (Mineral, VA)

Next up, the Fighting Hornets play the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Orange County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Flying Flucos come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 48-36 non-league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA).
