The Wilson Memorial Green Hornets basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Riverheads Gladiators to 24 in the Green Hornets non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Green Hornets now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waynesboro for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Wilson Memorial will battle a Little Giants team coming off a 44-32 non-league loss to Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA). The Little Giants record now stands at 2-8.

The Gladiators (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Fort Defiance triumphed over Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA), 53-40, in a non-league contest.
