The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Howard Huskies (Macon, GA) and the host Academy of Richmond County Musketeers (Augusta, GA), observed Howard's basketball team edge Academy of Richmond County by a score of 50-43.

The Huskies (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA). The Braves come into the AAA Region 4 challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Baldwin was tipped by University Christian (Jacksonville, FL), 68-63, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Musketeers battle the Aquinas Fightin' Irish (Augusta, GA) in a AAA Region 4 challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Academy of Richmond County will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Fightin' Irish come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 54-52 non-league win over Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA).
