In Friday's league test, the Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN) basketball squad defeated the visiting Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN), by a final score of 77-61.
Next, the Tornadoes clash with the Fulton Falcons (Knoxville, TN) in a non-league test, on Thursday, January 9. Alcoa will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Falcons come into the test with a 8-8 record after their 65-62 league win over Cocke County (Newport, TN).
The Roadrunners (5-10) will now prepare for their test against West (Knoxville, TN). The Rebels come into the non-league test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, West overcame Morristown-Hamblen West (Morristown, TN), 74-52, in a non-league test.
