The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Benedictine Cadets (Savannah, GA) and the visiting Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA), observed Benedictine's basketball team knock off Wayne County by a score of 73-54.

The Cadets (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against May River (Bluffton, SC). The Sharks come into the non-league challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, May River prevailed over Islands (Savannah, GA), 64-59, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets encounter the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Wayne County will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 57-52 non-league loss to Brantley County (Nahunta, GA).
