The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL) and the visiting Blount Leopards (Eight Mile, AL), observed Saraland's basketball team knock off Blount by a score of 52-41.

The Spartans (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Murphy (Mobile, AL). The Panthers come into the 6A Area 1 challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Murphy was knocked off by Theodore (Theodore, AL), 61-56, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Leopards encounter the Murphy Panthers (Mobile, AL) in a 6A Area 1 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Blount will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record.
