The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) and the visiting Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA), observed Staunton's basketball team overwhelm Buffalo Gap by a score of 79-38.

The Storm (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA). The Indians come into the Shenandoah challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Fort Defiance trounced Riverheads (Staunton, VA), 88-62, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bison encounter the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 6. Buffalo Gap will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 55-21 non-league win over Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV).
