The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Marmaton Valley Wildcats (Moran, KS) and the host Chetopa Hornets (Chetopa, KS), observed Marmaton Valley's basketball team overwhelm Chetopa by a score of 80-38.

The Wildcats (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Oswego (Oswego, KS). The Indians come into the Three Rivers challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Oswego trounced Southern Coffey County (Leroy, KS), 68-24, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Yates Center Wildcats (Yates Center, KS) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Chetopa will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 48-40 league loss to Altoona-Midway (Buffalo, KS).
